...is basically what my window at school is. 's fantastic.
Anyway, been back at school for a week and a half now. It was a little sad that the end of my vacation had to coincide with my birthday (thanks for the birthday wishes, DA folks
), but it's nice to be back where there're hills and things.
Summer was good, if uninteresting by most folks' standards. Did my usual life-sorting routine, and spent most of the three months up to my elbows figuring out morality and modern-day society. Funfun! @___@ I regretfully must report that I did not manage to catch the ice cream truck, but I -did- make a lot of homemade pasta and guacamole. Also, a caramel custard that tasted like breakfast.
Art-wise, things were fairly scarce, mainly because I've found myself at a bit of a crossroads. I was supposed to spend this summer really figuring out what I
like, and what I could possibly do with it. And somewhere between what my skill set would have me do, what financial issues would have me do, people telling me that I'm not suited for concept art, and the gross indecisiveness of my own mind, I've come to something of an impasse. Um. Anyway, so much for a clear and decisive artful summer! 'til I get things figured out (could be months, could be decades), I suppose I should warn you guys that I have no idea what kind of things I'm going to be making this semester, so.
We shall see. I trust ya'll will smack me if I start uploading photo-realistic paintings of spaghetti and dust motes though, yah?
Anyhows, hope you all had a wonderful summer as well, and I wish you good luck with whatever work/school things cropping up this fall!
